My Husband...

My husband is in the Army and has left to go to El Salvador. He will return soon, but not soon enough. I miss him so much. I felt like sharing what it is about him that I am so fond of!

He loves the Lord with all of his heart. He is the most humble and kind man I know. He seeks to serve others and me. I can always count on him to be there when I need him. He is wise and teaches me when I don't understand. There is no other place I would rather be than in his arms. He is such a picture of what our spiritual relationship to Christ should be like. He is the most bestest incredible man in the world!

It has been one year since we met again after all these years. One year that already seems like a lifetime. We both always talk about how we were best friends from the beginning. I'll never forget the first time I actually "saw" him. (Granted we have known each other since we were eleven years old.) He was speaking about his time served in Iraq at the church I attended in Ohio. I walked in late. (Surprise, surprise!) I heard the Lord tell me, "that is who you are going to marry." Of course my reaction was, "Okay Lord, can we be friends first?!" He went on to talk about his time served in Iraq and I thought to myself, "I would be honored to be his friend." After he was done speaking I remember talking to him afterwards, hugging him, reading his poetry, and laughing together. It was like old times. (Although he said I NEVER talked to him, but I did!) Thus began our journey. Here we are a year later, married, and loving our lives together. I had no idea what the Lord had in store for us, but wow! It truly is an amazing thing! What a ministry to be a wife; to encourage and pray for your husband. I am so thankful for this amazing part of life.

All this writing makes me miss him terribly. I am sure I just rambled on and on, but the writing helps. I am counting the days... 20 to go! I can't wait to have him home again! -April
